There is a spark system. You can claim a rate up student after rolling 200 times throughout a banner's duration (it doesn't have to be on the same banner, for example you can spark a rate up girl even if you rolled on another one's).

Be mindful when a banner ends, your roll count resets to zero, so you cannot carry a spark.
There is no pity system.
